The children have settled in well to the new school year. For the month of September, we read Penny the Pencil by Eileen O’Hely. We enjoyed creating dramas based on the novel and writing imaginative pieces about the characters. In Art, the children made clay owls and painted pictures in the style of Clarice Cliff.
We are now in year two of our travel theme. Lisa McDaniel visited the school and showed the pupils a speed gun. The Green Schools committee had good fun giving it a go outside the school.
We held the Parent Association AGM on Monday, 9th September in the school. Ms. McMahon and Ms. Crummy gave a talk about promoting pupil wellbeing in our school community. Please find a PDF of our talk here: Promoting Wellbeing Thank you to all the parents who attended this meeting.
