We had a very festive December, enjoying Christmas art & crafts, Aistear, – Santa’s Workshop, learning the Christmas Story, learning a Christmas poem for Church, preparing artwork for the Church, Christmas P.E., 5 Days of Fitmas, and a Christmas Quiz on Kahoot.

October was a busy month in the Junior Room. We had Maths Week, Space week, Autumn nature walks, leaf art and rubbings, Harvest display for the church, spooky potions during Aistear and plenty of Halloween fun. We enjoyed a Kahoot Halloween Quiz through Zoom with Ardkeeran NS.

The children in the Junior Room entered the RTE News2Day Art Competition.
A busy 1st term:
We welcomed our new Junior Infants to the school, Holly, Adam and Blaise. We also welcomed Blaise’s olders brother Fiach to 2nd class, Liam to 1st class and Nathan to senior infants. We enjoyed our “Playdough Disco” song and “Ants in your Pants” song as part of our wake up, shake up in the mornings. We learned all about ourselves, our friends, The Gingerbread Man, Andy Warhol & Pop art, Autumn, Space, made space aliens from clay and practiced plenty of maths during Maths Week. We also enjoyed plenty of stories, nature walks to the park for PE, learned a dance with Ms Thomson, completed maths trails, Harvest artwork for the church, made bubbling potions for Halloween and then we finished off the term with a Spooktacular Disco. Well done everyone!
