Music Generation
As part of Music Generation, the Junior Room children have been learning about the ukulele and guitar with Kevin. They were delighted to take turns plucking the instruments.
BLAST- Arts in Education Residency Programme 2023-2024
Taunagh N.S. was awarded a fully funded BLAST in-school residency opportunity via the new BLAST Arts in Education Residency Programme 2023/2024.
The BLAST Arts in Education Residency application is funded by the Department of Education and stands for ‘Bringing Live Arts to Students and Teachers’.
The Junior Room children were learning all about penguins and Irish seals in SESE so we decided to ask our artist Rebecca Massey to help us.
The children learned how to draw a penguin and chick. They also made fabulous seals from clay. Rebecca showed them how to mould the clay and use slip to smooth out the cracks.

We welcomed our new Junior Infants to Taunagh National School on Tuesday 30th August 2022.
They are Alexander, Silas, Benjamin and Arthur. We hope they will be very happy in Taunagh.
